You need to speculate to accumulate

So you want to make money, live the capitalist dream. But you don't want to spend anything pursuing that dream? It seems bizarre that such a business model could work. Frequently it doesn't. And yet many businesses are run this way, into the ground, because the owners seem to view their profits as a salary.

We deal with many people who have a nice car, a mortgage on a huge house, maybe an investment property and yet who seem to have some sort of seizure at the prospect of....shudder...investing in the marketing and ground up infrastructure of their business. Well if that's you you better have a great Unique Selling Proposition, because in the medium to long term your business will only ever go in ever decreasing circles, starved of investment and ultimately dying. It's your livelihood. Put something back in.
